BESUT, Oct 14 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Berang Sheep Breeding & Innovation Centre (KBSBIC) is offering an introductory course on the rearing of goats and sheep on Oct 24 and 31.
KBSBIC was set up on a 100-hectare site in Kuala Berang, Hulu Terengganu two years ago by the East Coast Economic Region, under the economy-agriculture cluster, and is managed by Genetic Improvements and Farm Technologies Sdn Bhd.
KBSBIC manager, Muhammad Sha'ani Abdullah said the course is also open to supervisors, managers, investors, financiers, policy makers and parties related with the development of the ruminant livestock industry nationwide.
"Participants will have to pay a fee of RM200 for the course which will be held at KBSBIC," he told Bernama here, Wednesday.
He said KBSBIC was currently undertaking breedings and supplying small female ruminants and aimed to develop 2,000 farmers in the state by 2020.
